Digital Hope Livelihood and skills training enlivens Victims of Amputation in Sierra Leone 2019

From a tragic past to a hopeful future.

Persons with Disabilities especially Amputees and war-wounded faced a lot of   discrimination within the community they live. Over the years, the Central Government has initiated lot of programmes and measures for the welfare of PWDs by enacting a number of legislative policies for the welfare of persons with disability in the country and the community they live.
However, most of the actions taken by the government are absence of programmes that will develop their residual skills and day to day functional abilities and therefore PWDs in this community tend to grow up being dependent on others and deprived of gainful livelihood opportunities in most cases.
This is the premise behind the livelihood project which will integrate the Digital Hope Initiative backed by livelihood  programs that will create opportunities for amputees and make them functioning members of society.
